JOB SUMMARY: The Account Manager serves as the primary business contact for all small to medium business customers. The Account Manager is responsible for building relationships with business customers and providing excellent customer service. In addition, this position is responsible for promoting and selling business services to customers via inbound and outbound sales calls. Note: This is a Sales function servicing business customer on a quota, commission basis.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES, FUNCTIONS & KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (include but are not limited to)
• Create and maintain long term relationships with business customers’ authorized representatives
• Maintain customer retention and revenue
• Perform regular (annual and/or quarterly) account reviews for strategic customer accounts
• Responsible for selling business products and services to new and existing business customers
• Identify business customers’ product needs and negotiate/execute service agreements
• Track and renew long-term service agreements
• Review strategic customers’ invoices as needed for quality assurance purposes
• Respond via phone or email to customer inquiries
• Handle incoming business sales calls while providing excellent customer service
• Solution selling of business products/services via inbound and outbound calls
• Occasionally meets with business customers face-to-face as needed or requested by customers
• Other duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of telecom and/or datacenter products strongly preferred
• Excellent selling and negotiating skills
• Strong Microsoft Office skills including Power point, Excel, and Word
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Detail oriented and good time management skills

QUALIFICATIONS & PREREQUISITES

Required:
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Account Management and/or Customer Service
• Minimum of 2 years’ sales experience
• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• High School Diploma required

Preferred:
• Prior sales experience in the telecom and/or datacenter industry
• Experience using Salesforce or equivalent CRM application
