Description
CRM Specialist – Customer Acquisition & Data Growth
We’re working with a purpose-led organisation in the middle of an exciting transformation, where CRM is becoming a critical engine for customer growth. As they build out their capability, they’re hiring a CRM Specialist to lead acquisition journeys, data enrichment, and marketable database growth.
This role sits at the heart of how the business attracts, nurtures, and converts prospects - perfect for someone who enjoys taking ownership, fixing what’s not working, and bringing structure to a fast-moving team.
Why this role stands out
• Shape the future of CRM: Work in a function that’s evolving rapidly, with the chance to help define journeys, logic, and best practice from the ground up.
• Two halves, one mission: Blend journey design with data enrichment - growing the database while deepening insight and engagement.
• Real impact on acquisition: Build nurture and welcome flows that turn prospects into booked appointments and customers.
• Bring fresh ideas: A big focus on organic and purpose-led acquisition, where creativity, experimentation, and innovation are encouraged.
• A culture that backs each other: Join a collaborative, close-knit team known for resilience, accountability, and genuine support.
The opportunity
• Design and optimise acquisition, nurture, and welcome journeys that drive engagement and conversion.
• Grow the organisation’s marketable database through organic initiatives, content-led outreach, and multi-channel CRM activity.
• Improve opt-in rates and permissions across the customer base by spotting gaps and acting quickly on opportunities.
• Analyse existing data sets, identify missing attributes, and work on enrichment strategies - including potential third-party sources.
• Collaborate closely with data, digital, brand, and sales teams to ensure targeting, logic, and messaging all align.
• Test and learn relentlessly: A/B testing, segmentation, message optimisation, and continuous improvement are core to the role.
• Help bring structure and clarity to a CRM function that’s part start-up, part established brand - where not all processes are in place, but the appetite to fix them is strong.
What we’re looking for
• Strong experience in CRM, lifecycle marketing, or acquisition roles where you’ve built and optimised journeys.
• Confident working with segmentation, personalisation, and automation tools.
• Comfortable interpreting data, identifying opportunities, and turning insights into action.
• A resilient communicator who can work with challenging stakeholders across marketing, data, legal, and risk.
• Someone proactive, entrepreneurial, and energised by improving imperfect systems.
• Experience in regulated environments is a bonus but absolutely not essential.
What’s in it for you
• A genuinely influential role where you’ll shape how CRM works across the organisation.
• The chance to build and refine journeys, processes, and data models in a function that’s still maturing.
• A supportive, people-first team with strong leadership and a culture of backing one another.
• Visibility across the wider marketing, data, digital, and brand teams.
• Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 DOE (with flexibility for exceptional talent) plus wider package (bonus potential, healthcare, etc).
• Hybrid working and a collaborative environment that values curiosity and continuous improvement.
If you’re looking for a CRM role where you can build, optimise, and make a tangible impact - this one’s worth exploring.
Please note:
• this client is unable to offer sponsorship, so only candidates with existing right to work in the UK will be considered.
• This role may be advertised again under varied titles for reaching a range of relevant applicants.
• As an agency, Propel is dedicated to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in every recruitment process, ensuring fair and unbiased opportunities for all candidates. We encourage individuals from all backgrounds to apply.
