Description
A respected law firm in Temperance, MI committed to delivering exceptional legal counsel with professionalism, compassion, and integrity is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Family Law Paralegal to join their team and support attorneys across multiple practice areas. The Paralegal will play a key role in supporting legal matters through research, document preparation, client communication, and case management. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced legal environment.
Hours are 8:00am - 5:00pm, Monday - Friday with a pay range of $23 - $30/hour, based on experience.
Key Responsibilities· Correspond with courts, clients, attorneys and other entities involved in the case· Understanding of accessing court dockets, filing systems and court forms· Organize files electronic in our system and physical files kept in office· Handle scheduling court dates, mediations, dispositions and deadlines· Dictation· Manage emails, mail and other correspondence· Efile and eservice of documents in efile counties· Learn and accurately apply Michigan court rules regarding the filing and service of all court documents and discovery documents· Receive and organize large volumes of information and records for both electronic and paper storage
Qualifications· Previous experience as a paralegal or in a legal administrative role· Strong knowledge of family law.· Proficient in Microsoft Office· Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.· Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.· Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
