Were currently recruiting a Finance Assistant to support a key finance team based in Carnaby / Bridlington within a respected public sector organisation.
The Opportunity
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a financial or administrative background who wants to work in a public sector environment. You'll carry out core finance support duties such as processing transactions, reconciling accounts, supporting month end procedures and liaising with internal teams to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial processes.
Key Responsibilities
• Process purchase invoices and payment approvals
• Reconcile ledger accounts and support month end close
• Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation
• Assist with budget monitoring, variance reporting and cost control queries
• Work with internal departments to resolve finance queries
• Support audit preparations, financial workflows and process improvements
About You
Prior experience in a finance or accounting admin role (preferable)
Strong accuracy and attention to detail
Competent in Microsoft Excel and finance systems
Good communication skills and ability to work within a team
Organised, reliable and able to prioritise workloads
Public sector / local authority experience (desirable)
