Job Summary
We are seeking a professional and welcoming Hotel Receptionist to join our front desk team. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring a warm, efficient, and seamless check-in and check-out experience. This role requires excellent communication skills, a friendly demeanour, and the ability to handle guest enquiries with professionalism. Previous hotel experience is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided. The ideal candidate will possess strong organisational skills and a passion for delivering outstanding guest services.
Responsibilities
• Greet guests upon arrival with warmth and professionalism, ensuring a positive first impression
• Manage guest check-in and check-out processes efficiently using hotel management systems
• Handle guest enquiries both in person and via telephone, providing accurate information about hotel services and local attractions
• Assist with reservations, cancellations, and modifications to bookings as required
• Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure guest rooms are prepared to high standards
• Process payments accurately and maintain detailed records of transactions
• Address guest concerns promptly and escalate issues when necessary to ensure guest satisfaction
• Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of the reception area to uphold a professional appearance
• Support administrative tasks such as filing, emailing, and data entry as needed
Skills
• Excellent phone etiquette with clear, courteous communication skills
• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in managing reservations and guest records
• Previous hotel experience or background in hospitality is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided
• Exceptional guest service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanour
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Proficiency in using hotel management software or similar systems is advantageous
