Freelance Motion Graphics Designer / Video Editor
Day Rate: £300–£375 per day (depending on experience)
Location: Remote (UK-based)
We’re looking for a freelance Motion Graphics Designer / Video Editor to help bring creative ideas to life through elegant, intelligent motion design. You’ll collaborate with a senior creative team to craft minimal yet conceptually rich stories that feel modern, purposeful, and beautifully executed.
What you’ll do
• Create motion graphics and video edits that simplify complex ideas through smart visual storytelling.
• Translate messaging and creative strategy into clear, engaging motion and pacing.
• Work with existing brand systems and evolve them through animation and design.
• Edit live-action footage, integrate motion overlays, and deliver polished outputs for social and campaign use.
• Develop storyboards, styleframes, and motion tests to define and refine creative direction.
• Collaborate with creative leads and motion designers to maintain a consistently high design standard.
What we’re looking for
• Deep understanding of contemporary motion design aesthetics, rhythm, and timing.
• Strong After Effects and Premiere Pro skills (Cinema 4D experience a plus).
• Confident with design tools and workflows — Figma experience preferred.
• Conceptual thinker with the ability to express ideas clearly through motion.
• Excellent eye for typography, composition, and minimal design.
• Reliable, self-managed, and comfortable working remotely with creative direction.
• Bonus: experience creating social-first motion content or working with tech/B2B brands.
