Role Description
This is a part-time paralegal position, with potential also for full time work, located in Middletown, Connecticut. We are a small team who likes to work together and is looking for another team player who wants to do good work and help clients. The position has a good deal of flexibility as to what it looks like, but ideally would involve at least five years experience as a litigation paralegal, with excellent organization skills. The position will ideally involve all paralegal litigation related services, including some drafting of routine motions, e-filing, working within our digital platform, work with clients, gathering and review of medical records and other discovery, drafting and serving of discovery, calendaring and communication with clients, courts and opposing counsel.
Qualifications
• Experience in Civil Litigation in a law firm setting in Connecticut (this would include more than work in just a foreclosure or collection setting)
• Strong organization and communication skills
• Experience with drafting pleadings and handling discovery
• Experience with gathering and analyzing medicals and damages claims
• Small office administrative skills and organization a plus
• Ability to work on-site in Middletown, CT with possibility of hybrid arrangement
• Part-time hours with flexibility as to days of week/hours
• Prior experience in litigation is necessary
