£55,000 per annum (negotiable dependant on experience)

Fixed Term Contract for 18 months, Full Time, 40 hours per week

G4S Care & Rehabilitation Services (CaRS) boasts a successful track record managing four prisons, a secure training centre, and numerous community contracts across England and Wales. ABOUT THE ROLE

Are you looking for your next short term project?

We are looking for a Project Manager to join our fast paced Facilities Management Team at HMP Oakwood. The right applicant should be enthusiastic, motivated and engaging ensuring planned projects and ad hoc work within the defined contract region are delivered on time and successfully.

In this role, you will be instrumental in managing and coordinating FM Project activities that align with the project plan.

Some of the key responsibilities of this role are:
• Manage the Project budgets to ensure works complete on time and within the cost parameters.
• Plan and co-ordinate of all works identified within the forward project plan and awarded by the internal and external client under contract.
• Prepare, assemble and acquire documentation in conjunction with appointed specialist’s consultants for the purpose of selecting, tendering and procuring suitable preferred contractors to carry out on site works activities.
• Proactively develop and maintain effective working relationships, ensuring senior clients’ needs are understood such that it enhances the company’s reputation by fostering an environment of continuous improvement to maximise our customers satisfaction.
• Prepare and necessary reports, documents and analysis in a timely manner to relevant stakeholders to enable monitoring, control and communication.
• Engage with relevant clients early in specification stage to help them refine requirements and to enable better project preparation.
• Plan, co-ordinate and manage Major Project Works requested by various clients stakeholders.
• Review client’s instructions and where necessary assist or develop suitable documentation to obtain competitive sub trader quotations.
• Analyse competitive sub contactor submissions and subsequently prepare G4S CaRS quotations for submission to the client and in line with their requirements and current contract formats.
• Review the provision and supply quotations, using best suited internal and external suppliers, verifying value for money before seeking client approval.
• Ensure control of cost, quality and time incorporating and emphasising good planning/ programming skills.
• Update and maintain the CaRS G4s tracker for the works assigned.
• Liaise with clients and their teams offering technical advice and knowledge regarding construction works issues ensuring contractual obligations is met.
• Attend client meetings as directed in relation to project work delivery.

ABOUT YOU

You will be an experienced FM Project Manager and have experience in similar roles. You must have good interpersonal skills and strong resilience skills. It is key that you are flexible and adaptable to deal with ever-changing scenarios. You will possess strong organisational and communication skills and have experience of working within a fast paced environment.

In addition, you will have:
• Experience of site works monitoring with installation and measurement
• CDM experience 2015
• Understanding of model contract forms: JCT, NEC, GC Works
• Experience of managing client facing projects works services across a diverse multi-site TFM portfolio.
• Experience of cost management and control and quality monitoring.
