Pay Rate: £85 - £95 per day
Role

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Exeter. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference by supporting young people with Autism (ASD), Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, and a range of learning difficulties. You'll work closely with the SENCO and teaching staff to help students develop confidence, resilience, and a love for learning through both academic and emotional support.
Responsibilities
• Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with additional learning needs.
• Help pupils manage emotions and build resilience through positive engagement.
• Assist in delivering tailored intervention programmes and tracking student progress.
• Collaborate with teachers, pastoral teams, and external professionals to ensure every learner thrives.
Requirements
• Experience working with young people in an educational or care setting.
• Strong behaviour management and interpersonal skills.
• A resilient, patient, and proactive approach to supporting others.
• A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
