About the Role
The Senior Operations Manager – Upholstery will oversee daily production activities across multiple shifts and work centers. You’ll lead and mentor operations managers, superintendents, and supervisors to achieve performance goals related to production, cost, safety, and quality.
Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams—including scheduling, HR, and quality—you’ll ensure seamless production flow, process improvement, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
• Direct and coordinate manufacturing operations across multiple shifts and departments.
• Lead and develop production superintendents and supervisors to meet company objectives.
• Manage workflow, production schedules, and staffing to ensure on-time, cost-effective output.
• Implement and drive Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and promote a culture of accountability.
• Collaborate with HR, Scheduling, and Quality teams to align operational goals.
• Analyze performance metrics to identify bottlenecks and optimize efficiency.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 10+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proven leadership and supervisory experience across multi-shift operations.
• Proficiency in Lean Manufacturing, capacity planning, and process improvement.
• Ability to obtain a Powered Industrial Vehicle License.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
