Senior Sales Executive
Location: Dereham, Norfolk | Salary: £40,000–£42,500 (DOE) + Quarterly Bonus | Full-Time, Permanent

We’re looking for a driven, consultative Senior Sales Executive (SSE) to join our high-performing sales team and drive growth across the UK’s largest businesses. You’ll be working with major companies (FTSE 100, FTSE 250, and £1bn+ organisations) to build strong relationships, close new business, and deliver secure, sustainable solutions that protect data, brand reputation, and the planet.
This is a strategic new business role with direct impact on Avena’s future. You won’t just be meeting sales targets – you’ll be helping shape the company’s next chapter.
Responsibilities:
• Research and prospect high-value clients across target sectors, using tools such as HubSpot, LinkedIn, and Lusha.
• Develop and execute structured sales strategies with clear value propositions.
• Attend virtual and face-to-face meetings to uncover client challenges and present tailored solutions.
• Build long-term, consultative relationships with senior stakeholders and decision-makers.
• Provide pricing, service information, and contract terms to prospective customers.
• Conduct professional handovers to Customer Service and National Accounts teams upon contract close.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure seamless onboarding and service delivery.
• Maintain up-to-date CRM records, ensuring data accuracy, detailed opportunity tracking, and reporting.
• Participate in regular 1:1s and training sessions to support professional development and performance optimisation.
• Stay up to date with market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to refine your approach.
Performance Objectives:
• Secure £320,000+ of new contractual business per year (minimum £78,000 per quarter).
• Conduct 100 new outbound calls per week to generate pipeline.
• Book 12 qualified meetings per week with senior decision-makers.
• Send 5 tailored proposals per week to warm or active prospects.
• Consistently generate new business from FTSE 100/250 and £1bn+ companies.
• Maintain high levels of customer and data confidentiality in line with Avena’s security standards.
• Deliver CRM hygiene and maintain accurate sales forecasting and reporting for management review.
Requirements:
• Minimum 2 years of proven success in B2B sales or new business generation.
• Strong interpersonal, presentation, and consultative sales skills.
• Confidence engaging senior decision-makers across various industries.
• Proficient in HubSpot (or similar CRM), LinkedIn, and data sourcing platforms such as Lusha.
• Commercial awareness and ability to translate complex services into business solutions.
• High level of professionalism, time management, and self-motivation.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
• Analytical thinker with the ability to track and optimise performance based on KPIs.
Eligibility Criteria:
• Right to work in the UK – not requiring sponsorship.
• Willingness to travel nationally for client meetings and internal events.
• Strong IT literacy across Microsoft Office, CRM platforms, and sales tools (e.g., Lusha, LinkedIn).
