Eton Bridge Partners are working in partnership with a US-listed AI commerce technology company in their search for a Senior Technical Accounting and Reporting Manager in London. This is an exciting opportunity to serve as a key business partner to the regional leadership teams, supporting strategic and operational decision-making.

The importance of the role

This role sits within our Technical Accounting & Financial Reporting team in group finance which produces our external quarterly results releases and the Annual Report. The team also ensures that the annual PCAOB audit and quarterly reviews are completed on a timely basis and acts as a first point of contact with the company’s external tax advisor. The team work closely with the different lines of business, including M&A, technology, investor relations and the different business units. The Technical Accounting & Financial Reporting team has good exposure to very senior stakeholders and visibility over complex matters within the business.

The specifics of the role

Reporting into the Head of Technical Accounting and Reporting, you will:
• Review of monthly reporting submissions by the business units to ensure accurate and complete financial reporting.
• Manage elements of the annual and quarterly external reporting process as required.
• Ownership of discrete processes and disclosures associated with group financial publications.
• Liaise with external auditors on their audit of our consolidated group financial statements and internal controls.
• Prepare technical accounting positions papers associated with complex transactions in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
• Prepare financial statements and note disclosures in accordance with U.S. GAAP and SEC rules.
• Prepare the annual parent company statutory financial statements to be filed with Companies House.
• Continuous process improvement, ensuring process documentation and flows are in place and maintained.

Required skills and experience
• Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA or equivalent) with significant post-qualification experience in technical accounting and external reporting
• External reporting experience including annual reports and financial statements within a listed company or audit firm.
• Experience producing financial statements in accordance with U.S GAAP and SEC rules, as well as statutory financial reporting experience in accordance with FRS 102 or IFRS.
• Ability to analyse complex agreements, research accounting standards and prepare technical accounting position papers.
• Ability to summarise technical matters for different audiences
• Experience of Netsuite consolidation and financial reporting systems – preferred.
