Bemidji Chrysler Center/Honda of Bemidji is a high performing multiline dealership seeking a Service Manager. The position of Service Manager drives the overall success of the dealership by effectively managing the service department, promoting sales volume, and working to assure customer satisfaction.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
•Ensure customers receive prompt, courteous, and effective service and a positive dealer experience.
•Provides excellent customer service by listening to customer inquiries and requests, resolving customer concerns.
•Maintain the company’s high standards for ethical business practices, professional image, orderliness, customer service scores and good employee and community relations.
•Ability to concentrate and accomplish tasks despite interruptions.
•Increase profitability by maximizing sales & execute retail promotions.
•Responsible for overseeing the technician working on customers’ vehicle including their time management/efficiency, job completion times.
•Serve as a liaison between technicians and customers.
•Take ownership of customers’ experience by carrying out additional assignments, enabling the dealership to leave a positive impression with the customer.
•Assign and schedule work duties to auto service staff according to individual skill level.
•Provide concierge support for all owner inquiries, whether via phone or in person, to ensure the customer does not get mishandled.
•Oversee the hiring and training of an effective auto service team.
REQUIREMENTS
•Automotive service technical experience is beneficial.
•Service Manager or Service Writer experience is a plus.
•Demonstrated ability to manage others.
•Ability to recruit and select technicians and general service teammates successfully according to store requirements.
•Good Communication and basic Computer skills.
•Advanced problem solving skills.
•Capacity to lead and coach others.
•Valid Drivers License required at all times.
•Clean driving record.
•High School Diploma or equivalent.
