Job Summary
We are looking for a hardworking and reliable Yardman with a valid UK forklift licence to join our busy skip yard operation. The role involves moving, stacking, loading and unloading while ensuring the yard remains safe, clean, and well organised.
Key Responsibilities
• Operate a range of forklifts and yard machinery safely and efficiently
• Move, stack, and organise skips within the yard
• Load and unload skips and materials from wagons and trailers
• Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe working environment
• Carry out daily equipment checks and report any faults
• Follow all health, safety, and environmental regulations
• Support drivers and site staff as needed.
• Support factory staff as needed.
Requirements
• Valid UK Forklift Licence.
• Experience working in a yard or industrial environment
• Strong health and safety awareness
• Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in all weather
• Reliable, punctual, and hardworking
• Good teamwork and communication skills
• Positive Attitude
Desirable (but not essential)
• Experience working in a skip yard, recycling, or waste management environment
• Driving licence
• Experience operating other plant (JCB All Terrain)
• Counterbalance B1 Licence
• Counterbalance B2 Licence
