Role: HGV Driver / Yards Person Location: Croydon, CR0 4YL Hours: 45 hours per week | 9 hours per day between 06:00 and 18:00 Monday to Friday Salary: between £35,757.81 - £39,757.81 pa DOE Are you a confident HGV driver with a knack for organisation and a proactive approach to getting things done? We’re looking for a reliable and safety-conscious HGV Driver – Yard Person to join our Aftermarket team in Croydon! This is a hands-on role that combines vehicle transportation with yard coordination. You’ll play a key part in ensuring our vehicles are delivered safely and our yard remains clean, compliant, and efficient. Key Responsibilities Transport vehicles to and from customer sites with professionalism and careShunt and organise vehicles in the yard to maximise space and efficiencyMaintain a clean and safe yard environment, disposing of waste appropriatelySupport the workshop team by collecting parts and assisting with vehicle movementsLiaise with customers and suppliers in a courteous and professional mannerFollow all health and safety procedures and company policiesBe flexible with travel and working hours, including occasional use of public transport for return journeys Ideal Candidate Holds a valid HGV and car driving licence (CPC preferred)Experienced in driving HGVs and working in a yard or vehicle movement environmentKnowledgeable about UK driving laws, the Highway Code, and general H&S complianceOrganised, adaptable, and able to work independently or as part of a teamComfortable working outdoors in all weather conditionsA clear communicator with a customer-focused mindsetBasic computer skills and a forklift licence are a bonus If you’re ready to take the wheel and keep our yard running smoothly, we’d love to hear from you!
