HR Advisor

Role: HR Advisor Location: Birmingham, West Midlands Job Type: Full time, Permanent Robert Walters is delighted to be partnering with a well-established professional services organisation in the search for an HR Advisor to join their growing People team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HR professional who enjoys a true generalist role and wants to be part of a collaborative, people-focused business. They are looking for someone with a legal, professional services, accountancy, consultancy background. Working closely with managers across the organisation, you'll provide practical HR support across the full employee lifecycle, with a particular focus on employee relations, policy guidance, and day-to-day people matters. Key Responsibilities Providing first-line HR advice and support to managers and employees Managing a range of employee relations cases, including disciplinary, grievance, absence management and performance matters Supporting managers with people-related decision-making and best practice Assisting with recruitment, onboarding and employee lifecycle processes Supporting HR projects, initiatives and process improvements Ensuring HR policies and procedures are applied consistently and in line with employment legislation Maintaining accurate employee records and HR documentation Producing HR reports and management information where required About You We're looking for someone with a strong HR generalist background who is comfortable operating in a fast-paced professional environment. You'll ideally have: Previous experience in an HR Advisor or equivalent generalist HR role Strong employee relations experience with confidence managing cases from start to finish Experience working within a legal, professional services, accountancy, consultancy or partnership environment A solid understanding of UK employment law and HR best practice Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills The ability to build credible relationships with managers at all levels Strong organisational skills and attention to detail CIPD qualification (or working towards) would be advantageous but is not essential What's on Offer?
