Care Home Manager – Brecon
Are you an experienced leader in the social care sector, passionate about delivering exceptional person-centred care? We are seeking a dedicated Care Home Manager to oversee a well-established care home in Brecon. About the Role
As the Care Home Manager in Brecon, you will be responsible for the overall leadership and day-to-day operation of the home. Your focus will be ensuring the highest standards of care, regulatory compliance, and community engagement. You will support and inspire a multidisciplinary team, promote a positive and supportive environment, and uphold the organisation’s commitment to outstanding care standards.
Your key responsibilities include:
Leading daily operations and setting a high-quality, person-centred care culture
Developing and supporting multidisciplinary teams to ensure compassionate care
Overseeing clinical governance, compliance with social care regulations, and continuous quality improvement
Managing budgets, staffing levels, and resource allocation effectively
Building positive relationships with residents, families, and external professionals
Leading recruitment, performance management, and staff development
Promoting a welcoming environment that encourages resident and staff wellbeing
About You
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing a similar-sized care home in the UK, with a strong background in social care management and compliance. You will hold a Level 5 Leadership & Management qualification in Health & Social Care or an equivalent, with registration with Social Care Wales. You should be a compassionate and strategic leader, with excellent communication, organisational, and operational skills. A genuine passion for improving the quality of life for older people is essential.
Candidate Requirements
Proven senior care management experience within a residential care setting
Strong knowledge of regulatory standards, safeguarding, and quality assurance processes
Leadership experience in teams engaging with diverse healthcare needs, including dementia and learning disabilities
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective external relationships
Ability to manage budgets and resources efficiently
