Finance Director

Chalk Hill Group are supporting an established distribution business, based near Gatwick, who are looking to appoint an experienced Fractional Finance Director on an initial 3–6 month contract. This is a hands-on finance leadership role, ideal for an experienced FD or strong FC who enjoys being close to the detail and making a tangible impact. Working around two days per week, you will take responsibility for a range of core finance activities, including: Financial reporting and management informationStrengthening financial controls and processesCash flow forecasting and managementIdentifying and implementing process improvementsSupporting the wider finance function and improving efficienciesMentoring and developing a more junior member of the finance teamProviding hands-on financial leadership and support to the business We are looking for someone who is: An experienced Finance Director, Financial Controller or similarComfortable operating in a hands-on, SME environmentExperience in Distribution or Logistics sectorStrong technically, with solid reporting, controls and cash flow experiencePractical and solutions-focused, with a track record of improving processesConfident mentoring and supporting junior finance staffAvailable to work around 2 days per week onsite near Gatwick This role is inside IR35.
