MINT DOSA aims to provide a welcoming atmosphere for both guests and staff. Role Description This is a part-time, on-site role based at MINT DOSA in Southampton. The waiter/waitress/server is responsible for greeting guests, presenting menus, explaining dishes and specials, and taking accurate food and beverage orders. Daily tasks include serving food and drinks, checking on guest satisfaction, handling payments, and maintaining clean and organized tables and service areas. The role also involves coordinating with kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely service, managing reservations or walk-ins, and following hygiene and safety standards. The position requires flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and busy service periods. Qualifications Experience in front-of-house hospitality or customer service, with strong guest interaction and table service skills.Clear verbal communication skills and the ability to explain menu items, dietary options, and specials confidently.Basic numeracy and point-of-sale (POS) skills for handling orders, bills, and payments accurately.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, stay organized under pressure, and multitask during busy service times.Commitment to food safety, cleanliness, and personal hygiene in line with restaurant standards.Reliability, punctuality, and a positive team-oriented attitude when working with kitchen and front-of-house colleagues.Willingness to learn about South Indian cuisine and beverages to provide informed recommendations to guests.Availability to work part-time shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed; prior restaurant experience is an advantage but not required.
