Job description

Your new company Hays Belfast are currently recruiting a Site Manager to work for a leading specialist contractor delivering ethical and sustainable natural stone solutions across the UK and Ireland. Renowned for its craftsmanship and quality, the company works alongside some of the construction industry's most recognised main contractors on landmark commercial and high-rise residential developments. As Site Manager, you will be working on bespoke stone masonry installations to complex façade packages, where your new employer has built a reputation for delivering exceptional results on prestigious projects across Ireland, Scotland, and England.Due to continued growth and a strong project pipeline, this contractor is seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee the successful delivery of projects across multiple locations. Your new role As Site Manager, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations on site, ensuring all works is delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. Working closely with project teams, clients, and main contractors, you will play a key role in coordinating site activities and driving successful project outcomes.Your responsibilities will include:Managing site operations across a range of commercial and high-rise residential projects.Supervising and coordinating direct labour teams and specialist subcontractors.Ensuring all works is carried out in accordance with project programmes and client requirements.Maintaining the highest standards of health, safety, environmental, and quality compliance.Conducting site inspections, toolbox talks, and safety briefings.Managing site documentation, reporting, and quality records.Liaising with main contractors, consultants, and project stakeholders.Identifying and resolving site issues to ensure projects remain on programme.Monitoring quality construction and ensuring installations meet specification and industry standards.Travelling to projects throughout Scotland, Ireland, and England as required.What you'll need to succeed To be considered for this role, you will have:Previous experience working as a Site Manager within the construction sector.A strong understanding of health & safety legislation and site management procedures.Experience managing direct labour and coordinating subcontractors.Excellent organisational and communication skills.The ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.A proactive approach to problem-solving and project delivery.Willingness to travel and work across multiple project locations throughout the UK and Ireland.Relevant site management qualifications and certifications, including SMSTS, First Aid, and CSCS (or equivalent).Experience working on façade, masonry, cladding, external envelope, or specialist subcontractor packages would be highly advantageous.What you'll get in return This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing and highly respected specialist contractor involved in some of the UK's most prestigious construction projects.
