Junior Web Systems Developer

This Junior Web Developer role is primarily back-end focused, but as we are a web development company, it will include some front-end development. Red's primary stack includes Visual Studio, Git, VB.NET, SQL, JavaScript/JQuery, HTML, S/CSS and Elasticsearch. You will work on the implementation, maintenance and support of multiple sophisticated e-commerce websites. You will receive mentoring from seasoned consultants and developers in return for your genuine enthusiasm and proactive approach to learning. There will be a real chance for progress within our growing organisation. We operate a hybrid home/office working environment, with 2 days per week at home. We are looking for people with strong logic capability, excellent attention to detail and a passion for computer programming. The programming language(s) you are familiar with is not as important as the enthusiasm to learn our stack. When reviewing CVs, we pay close attention to candidates with strong Mathematics and a clear passion for programming. 1 year’s relevant commercial development experience, e.g. a placement year, would be ideal. We are a leading UK e-commerce solution provider. We author an e-commerce platform, tradeit, which we leverage to deliver complex multi-channel e-commerce solutions for mid-sized organisations.
