Order Picker/Packer (Twilight shift)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a reliable, hardworking, and detail-focused Twilight Picker & Packer to join a long-established family-run business supplying dairy, fruit & vegetables, and frozen products to catering customers across Dorset. This role is essential in ensuring customer orders are accurately picked, packed, and prepared for next-day delivery, maintaining our high standards of quality, food safety, and efficiency. Key Responsibilities Accurately pick customer orders, ensuring correct product rotation and minimum date codesFollow FIFO (First In, First Out) procedures at all timesAdhere to company procedures for temperature control and non-conforming productsWork safely in ambient, chilled, and frozen environmentsCarry out cleaning and housekeeping tasks in line with cleaning schedulesMaintain a clean, safe, and tidy workspace at the end of each shiftUse equipment safely and report any faults or maintenance issuesComply with all company policies, health & safety, and food hygiene standardsEssential / Desirable Skills Essential: Physically fit – manual handling of up to 25kg and long periods standingComfortable working in cold environments (chillers 5°C to -5°C, and freezers -18°C )Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately under time pressureReliable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a teamGood communication skills and ability to follow instructionsDesirable (but not essential): Previous experience in wholesale, catering, or warehouse environmentsForklift experience (training may be provided)Hours of Work 5 nights out of 6 on a rota basis (no Saturday nights)Includes Bank HolidaysTwilight shift: 6:00pm – 2:00am, 37.5 hours per weekLimited overtime availablePay & Benefits £13.15 per hourPerformance bonus following probationCompany pensionEmployee discountFree on-site parkingFriendly, supportive, family-run working environmentJob Type: Full-time NO AGENCIES PLEASE If you’re looking for a stable, long-term role with a supportive team and take pride in working accurately and efficiently, we’d love to hear from you.
