Now, we're looking for a Financial Accountant EMEA (m/f/d) to join our Finance team. 🚀
In this role, you'll play a key part in supporting the integrity, accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting across multiple EMEA entities. You'll help ensure robust financial controls, statutory compliance across different jurisdictions and high-quality management information. You'll deliver accurate and timely monthly management accounts across the EMEA region, support statutory, tax and regulatory reporting requirements and contribute to the continuous improvement of our financial processes, controls and reporting efficiency.
What you'll do 💼
Financial Reporting & Month-End Close
Support monthly accounting across seven EMEA entities and help deliver accurate monthly management reporting within group deadlines.Prepare and post standard journals, including accruals and prepayments.Create and maintain fixed asset records and run monthly depreciation.Complete monthly and quarterly balance sheet reconciliations, investigating and resolving variances where required.Provide cover for standard cost maintenance within the company's ERP system.
Tax & Compliance
Support compliance with local statutory and regulatory requirements across the relevant jurisdictions, including VAT returns, Intrastat and other required submissions.Assist with the preparation of annual statutory accounts and supporting documentation.
Audit & Controls
Support interim and year-end audits across EMEA entities, liaising with external auditors to ensure the timely completion of all deliverables.Maintain strong financial controls and accurate, audit-ready documentation.Assist with the preparation of audit schedules, reconciliations and supporting workpapers.
Process Improvement & Ad Hoc Support
Identify opportunities to simplify and streamline existing processes.Support improvements to financial reporting, controls and working practices.Assist with ad hoc departmental tasks and cross-functional initiatives as required.Work collaboratively with colleagues, local management teams and external advisers across the EMEA region.
What you bring 🌟
We're looking for someone who enjoys working in an international finance environment, brings strong attention to detail and is keen to further develop their accounting expertise.
ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified or part-qualified, or an equivalent qualification.Practical experience in financial accounting, management accounting or a similar finance role.A good understanding of general ledger, accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.Experience supporting month-end close activities, including journals, reconciliations, accruals and prepayments.Experience using ERP systems – ideally Microsoft Dynamics – and strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.Exposure to statutory reporting, VAT, audit or working across multiple entities would be beneficial but is not essential; familiarity with German accounting requirements would be considered an additional advantage.Strong attention to detail, accuracy and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.A proactive, self-motivated and collaborative approach, combined with the confidence to work independently and communicate effectively with different stakeholders.
