OverviewBank Paramedic (Qualified) - Hertfordshire & West Essex: Harlow, Watford, Stevenage & Hemel
East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust (EEAST) is welcoming applications from experienced qualified Paramedics on a full time or part time contract. This vacancy is for Harlow, Watford and Stevenage (locations include Hertfordshire & West Essex, MK41 0RG).
EEAST works to deliver outstanding care with a dedicated team of clinical staff, volunteers, call handlers, dispatchers and support staff. Paramedics will routinely work with allied health professionals in hospital and community-based services to ensure timely referrals and discharge.
EEAST provides tablets to clinical staff to access electronic patient records, clinical guidelines, incident management and alternative care pathway applications. Successful applicants will undergo a two week induction at an Education Training Centre, followed by a local induction at their allocated locality.
During training, it is the candidate’s responsibility to attend in full each day. Accommodation and travel expenses are not provided; where possible, candidates will be allocated to the training centre nearest their operational base.
EEAST employs over 5,000 staff with a further 1,000+ volunteers across a large area, with a fleet of over 1,000 vehicles including double staffed ambulances and other transport.
EEAST collaborates with 17 Acute Trusts and has access to major trauma centres in Cambridge and neighbouring MTCs such as those in London.
