Salary: £95 - 130 per day Reference: CE39839 Cover Supervisor Location: Grantham Pay: Up to £650 per week Hours: Full Time and Part Time hours available Please note: Applicants must have the right to work in the UK About The Role Connex Education are recruiting for a dedicated and proactive Cover Supervisor to join a well-established secondary school in Grantham. This role involves supporting across a range of subject areas, where possible aligning with the successful candidate’s experience, knowledge and areas of expertise. The successful candidate will supervise lessons, ensuring pupils are provided with a safe, structured and purposeful learning environment that enables them to continue making progress in the absence of their usual teacher. You will support pupil engagement, manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies, and complete lesson feedback to provide returning teachers with information about the classes covered. The ideal candidate will be confident, adaptable and able to build positive relationships with pupils and staff. You will have the ability to remain calm under pressure, use your initiative and maintain high expectations while supporting a positive learning environment. Person Specification To be considered for this role, candidates must have / be able to demonstrate: Degree OR GCSE English and Maths (Grade C/4 or above in both, or equivalent Functional Skills Level 2). Effective communication and interpersonal skills with pupils and staff. The ability to build positive and respectful relationships with pupils. A positive and enthusiastic attitude towards supporting pupil progress and school life. Good literacy and numeracy skills to support learning and classroom administration. The ability to maintain a calm, purposeful and positive learning environment. An understanding of safeguarding, confidentiality and professional boundaries within a school setting. Adaptability and resilience when working across different subjects and year groups. High standards of professional behaviour, presentation and integrity. A willingness to engage in professional development and respond positively to feedback. Completion of the Connex Education / Academize Effective Cover Supervision training course (access will be provided to all suitable applicants). A full enhanced DBS certificate.
