Business Analyst

Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities Gather, analyse, and interpret complex data sets to inform business strategies and decisions. Develop detailed business requirements and translate them into technical specifications for IT teams. Utilise data visualisation tools such as Tableau and Power BI to create insightful dashboards and reports. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify process improvements and implement solutions aligned with organisational goals. Manage projects through the entire SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle), ensuring timely delivery of deliverables. Design and optimise databases, including Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, and utilise SQL for querying data efficiently. Conduct business analysis activities using Visio for process modelling and documentation. Develop scripts in VBA, Bash (Unix shell), R, or Python to automate data processing tasks. Support project management activities by tracking progress, managing risks, and ensuring stakeholder communication. Maintain comprehensive documentation of processes, systems, and project artefacts. Skills Proven expertise in Business Analysis with a strong understanding of SDLC methodologies. Advanced proficiency in data visualisation tools such as Tableau and Power BI. Strong SQL skills along with experience working with Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server databases. Programming knowledge in R, Python, VBA, and Bash (Unix shell) for data manipulation and automation tasks. Experience with database design principles to optimise data storage and retrieval processes. Familiarity with project management practices to oversee multiple initiatives effectively. Excellent analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets into actionable insights. Proficiency in Visio for process mapping and documentation purposes. Strong communication skills to convey technical information clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
