Manufacturing Engineer Team Leader - Operations

The Manufacturing Engineer Team Leader- Operations provides consultation, management and technical direction in areas such as manufacturing & engineering technology, design & productivity to the manufacturing, engineering & sourcing communities on near term and longer-range projects with substantial business impact. The incumbent will have deep domain expertise in subsea equipment, design & manufacturing technology, experience in repair and modification of existing services equipment and processes and is responsible for driving solutions through the manufacturing process. As a The Manufacturing Engineer Team Leader- Operations, you will be responsible for: Remain current in manufacturing technology. Capability & credibility to influence engineering on design for manufacturability.Driving performance improvements, cost reductions and problem resolutions for subsea products.Leading business initiatives in manufacturing technology, quality and productivityProviding guidance and mentoring to ME team.Developing the next line of ME’s through sharing domain knowledge, providing technical guidance, implement training modules and competence programmes as necessary.Executing and provide guidance for the analysis / evaluation of assigned projects that meet business standards, practices and procedures and the product / program requirementsDeveloping action plans to anticipate and respond to problemsAssuring proper documentation of data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with policies and proceduresMonitoring and communicating project status, business issues and significant developmentsSet G&O’s for team members, monitor performance, provide feedback and conduct PD discussions.Demonstrating team performance through SMART metrics Fuel your passion To be successful in this role, you should have An Engineering degree or equivalent with strong experience in People Management/ Team ManagementExperience within an oil and gas service industry. Preferably with experience with executing maintenance and repair scopes for subsea production equipment and wellhead toolingLooking for candidates who has Manufacturing, maintenance, productionExperience in Mechanical DesignAbility to understand engineering outputs and convert into workshop (and supply chain) scopes of works and instructionsStrong interpersonal and leadership skills, including ability to lead ME’s.Demonstrated initiative to stay abreast of technology advancementsStrong oral and written communication skillsAbility to guide and influence othersDemonstrated process orientation in approach to workHave permanent work permit in UK Work in a way that works for you This role demands candidates to be working from office 4 days a week and 1 day from home (remote)Preferably 5 days at office Working with us Our people are at the heart of what we do at Baker Hughes.
