HGV Class 1 Driver H & R Gray Haulage Ltd is a family run business based in Throsk that has been providing professional and reliable road haulage services for over 35 years in Scotland and the UK. ⭐ About the Role This is an exciting opportunity within our General Haulage department to join a busy team where you will be primarily responsible for delivering orders in a prompt and efficient manner while ensuring all driving regulations and other compliance standards are adhered to. ✅ What We Offer Competitive hourly rates with regular overtimeGuaranteed full‑time hoursModern, well‑maintained fleetConsistent routes with minimal waiting timeCompany Healthcare SchemeHoliday pay and pension schemeEmployee Assistance ProgrammeOngoing trainingResponsibilities: Delivery and collection of a variety of goods.Use various trailer types including flat, curtain and container.Securing loads safely and in line with legislation.Manual Handling setting up and stowing away pins and bearers on timber flats.Complete appropriate paperwork.Comply with EU Drivers Hours regulations and Working Time rules.Adhere to all company health and safety procedures and HR policies.Ensure vehicle is kept clean inside and out, report any faults or damage.Ensure PPE and company issue uniform is worn at all times.Candidate Requirements: Previous Class 1 driving experience, 2 years or more, off road driving an advantage.Valid driving licence, up to date driver CPC and digital tachograph card.Availability to night out up to 4 nights per week.Physically fit and healthy.Excellent customer care skills.Ability to work on own initiative.Ability to operate in cab IT software.Excellent timekeeping skills.Can do attitude and Team player.Strong customer care skills.Training: Full company induction CPC course provided Basic: £15.50 per hour Overtime: £18.50 per hour Sundays: £21.00 per hour Night out subsistence: £30.00 per night Typical salary: £50,000 - £60,000 (dependent on nights out/hours) Experience: 2 years preferred Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: £15.50-£21.00 per hour Benefits: Company pensionHealth & wellbeing programmeOn-site parkingLicence/Certification: HGV Class 1 Licence (required)CPC (required)Digital Tachograph (required)Work Location: On the road
