Job description

Our client is looking for a Site Manager to manage site activities and supervise subcontractors during the construction of utility scale solar PV installations in the United Kingdom. You will ensure that all works are delivered in line with project specifications, quality standards, health and safety requirements, programme milestones and budget expectations. Key Responsibilities Manage site operations for ground-mounted solar PV installations. Supervise construction activities and subcontractors to ensure compliance with project plans, health and safety regulations and quality requirements. Monitor daily progress, resource utilisation, workmanship and site productivity. Conduct site inspections, identify issues and coordinate timely resolutions. Collaborate effectively with project teams, subcontractors, suppliers and stakeholders. Maintain accurate site records, progress reports, documentation and change order reviews. Track defect rectification, enforce site policies and support continuous improvement. Provide clear leadership on site and foster a positive, collaborative team culture. Use office software and digital reporting tools to support communication, reporting and project control. About You NVQ Level 6 or higher in Construction Management or a related civil, electrical or mechanical engineering background. Proven experience managing large-scale solar construction projects. Valid SMSTS certification. Black CSCS Card or Black ECS Card. Three day First Aid Certification. Comprehensive knowledge of construction techniques, safety regulations and site management best practice. Strong understanding of technical documentation and applicable industry standards within construction and engineering environments. Excellent leadership, organisational, communication and problem-solving skills. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and site reporting tools. Fluent spoken and written English. Valid UK driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites across the UK. If you are interested in this role, please apply.
