Paralegal

Role: Paralegal – Domestic Abuse Our award-winning law firm is expanding its specialist Domestic Abuse Department due to continued growth and increasing demand. We are now seeking a dedicated and compassionate experienced Paralegal to join us at an important stage in our journey. THE OPPORTUNITY This is a hands-on, fast-paced, and deeply rewarding role within our specialist Domestic Abuse team. You will manage your own caseload of domestic abuse matters from start to finish, working closely with experienced solicitors and support staff. Your work will include: • Taking initial client instructions using a trauma-informed and empathetic approach • Preparing and drafting urgent court applications, including Non-Molestation Orders and Occupation Orders • Drafting witness statements, chronologies, and supporting evidence • Managing legal aid funded matters, including emergency funding applications • Liaising with courts, police, support workers, and interpreters • Attending court hearings with counsel or solicitors when required • Maintaining accurate case files in line with Legal Aid Agency and regulatory requirements • Providing regular updates and reassurance to clients throughout proceedings • Supporting solicitors with case progression and administrative tasks ABOUT YOU: You are a calm, organised, and empathetic Paralegal who thrives in a role where professionalism and compassion go hand in hand. You are confident managing sensitive cases and committed to supporting vulnerable clients.
