Located on Hayat Island, InterContinental Ras Al Khaimah Mina Al Arab Resort &
Spa is a luxury beachfront resort where island living meets authentic Arabian
hospitality. Less than an hour from Dubai, the resort offers a refined yet

beaches. With a collection of rooms, villas, and residences, a variety of

Behind every great guest experience is a team making sure the right products and
supplies are available at the right time. We’re looking for a Purchasing Buyer
who is organised, commercially aware and confident working with suppliers and
hotel departments. Reporting to the Purchasing Supervisor and Purchasing
Manager, you’ll support the day-to-day purchasing needs of the resort, helping
us secure the right quality, quantity and value while keeping our purchasing
process accurate, timely and compliant.
A little taste of your day-to-day:
Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:
* Sourcing products and obtaining competitive quotations from approved and
potential suppliers
* Comparing prices, quality, specifications, availability and delivery
timelines to support purchasing decisions
* Preparing and processing purchase orders accurately and within required
timelines
* Coordinating with departments to understand specifications, quantities and
operational requirements
* Following up with suppliers on pending orders, deliveries and any quality or
supply concerns
* Maintaining professional and ethical relationships with suppliers
* Keeping supplier information, purchase orders, quotations and supporting
documents accurate and properly filed
* Monitoring pending purchase requisitions and outstanding or unserved purchase
orders
* Supporting the Purchasing Supervisor and Purchasing Manager with day-to-day
procurement activities and cost-saving opportunities
* Ensuring purchasing activities follow hotel policies, approval procedures and
internal controls
What We need from you:
* Diploma or equivalent qualification in Purchasing, Supply Chain, Business
Administration, Finance or a related field
* Previous purchasing or procurement experience, preferably within a hotel or
hospitality environment
* Good understanding of sourcing, quotations, purchase orders and supplier
coordination
* Strong attention to detail with good organisational and follow-up skills
* Good communication and negotiation skills
* Ability to manage multiple purchase requests and work within deadlines
* Comfortable using purchasing, inventory and Microsoft Office systems
* A team player who can work closely with operational departments and suppliers
* Good written and spoken English
* Flexibility to support operational requirements when needed
