This position is contingent upon contract award / Full-Time Deployment
The Cultural Advisor (CA) supports the 380 AEW by providing expert cultural guidance, Host Nation (HN) engagement support, and high‑quality Arabic–English linguistic services. This role strengthens cooperation between U.S. and HN personnel and enables mission success across USAFCENT operations. The CA works closely with U.S. military leadership, supporting activities related to military operations, personnel, security, medical coordination, HN governmental processes, and base defense matters.

Primary Responsibilities
• Advise U.S. military leaders on Host Nation culture, customs, sensitivities, and partnership expectations.
• Facilitate positive relationships between U.S. personnel and HN military, government, and civilian organizations.
• Provide precise and professional translation, interpretation, and transcription in Modern Standard Arabic and English.
• Deliver cultural context to briefings, operational discussions, and official engagements.
• Support administrative requirements for 380 AEW and tenant units as directed.
• Serve as an official liaison during engagements with HN ministries, agencies, and military entities.
• Assist with matters involving deployed personnel, security of resources, medical care coordination, and base access.
• Maintain strict compliance with HN laws, USAFCENT guidance, and U.S. security standards.
• Perform other related duties as assigned within the general scope of the contract.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Active SECRET clearance (must be maintained throughout employment).
U.S. citizenship.
Valid U.S. driver’s license and U.S. passport.
Ability to obtain required country visas and local driver’s licenses.
International driver’s license.
ILR 3+ proficiency (or equivalent) in Modern Standard Arabic and English; DLPT score acceptable.
Must meet all screening and background conditions, including:
No pending criminal charges or felony arrests.
No alcohol‑related arrests within the last five years.
No history of moral turpitude, violence, hate‑crime involvement, or association with groups promoting extra‑legal violence.
No past actions posing a security concern.
No Host Nation restrictions on base or country access.
Working Conditions:
Must be capable of working in an extreme weather conditions with temperatures exceeding 120 degrees Fahrenheit.
Indoor and/or outdoor environment with very adverse and harsh conditions (i.e., hot, dry, dusty, desert environment with average temperatures of 30 degrees in the winter and 130 degrees in the summer months).
Includes some industrial production environment conditions as well.
Physical Requirements:
Light work. Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Work may require heavy lifting, stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, prolonged sitting, and working with or in areas where a potential could exist for exposure to physical, chemical, or biological agents.
Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required for some situations. PPE includes, but is not limited to, head, foot, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protective devices.
Must comply with all Fire and Safety Regulations and post policies.
