Regulatory Defence Solicitor About your new role The Healthcare Regulatory Professional Discipline Team act for Medical Defence Organisations, insurers, and private clients in regulatory, disciplinary, coronial, and criminal matters. The team has a nationwide reach with fee earners based in London, Leeds, Manchester and Cardiff. The team is highly regarded in this diverse and unique area of work; we are ranked as a tier 1 firm in professional discipline by the legal 500. We are looking for a Solicitor to join the team in Leeds or London. The work would involve advising on Fitness to Practice (GDC/GMC and other Regulatory) Investigations, Inquests, police investigations and Trust disciplinary cases. The role We are currently recruiting for a Regulatory Defence Lawyer 3 to 5 years PQE to join our team in either Leeds or London. Main duties and responsibilities • Take responsibility for cases with minimal supervision * Achieve set financial and chargeable targets * Assist other lawyers in the team with their work, including supporting lead advisers and the supervision of more junior lawyers * Conduct Advocacy including at pre-inquest review hearings and inquests, where appropriate #LI-Hybrid About You You will have previous experience and a genuine and demonstrable interest in the above area of work.
