Financial Planning Administrator Location:Wakefield, West Yorkshire Salary: Up to £32,000 per annum, dependent on experience and qualifications Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, office-based We are working with an award-winning independent financial advice practice based in the beautiful grounds of a national trust park. The business provides high-quality, personalised financial planning services to individuals and businesses and is continuing to grow. They are now looking for a Financial Planning Administrator to join their close-knit and professional team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with financial services administration experience who wants to develop their career within a growing and client-focused financial planning business. The Role As a Financial Planning Administrator, you will play an important role in supporting the wider financial planning process. Working closely with Financial Advisers and Paraplanners, you will ensure that client records, documentation and administrative tasks are completed accurately, efficiently and in line with regulatory requirements. This is primarily an administrative position, although some technical understanding of pensions, investments and protection will be required. Full training will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build on their existing financial services experience and develop their technical knowledge. Key Responsibilities Preparing and processing Letters of Authority.Requesting valuations and information from providers.Managing provider communications.Maintaining accurate client records using the firm's back-office system.Liaising with providers and clients to obtain information required for research and advice.Managing diary appointments and follow-up tasks.Contacting clients to arrange annual review and new advice meetings.Supporting Financial Advisers and Paraplanners with day-to-day administration.Preparing client files and documentation.Producing client correspondence and letters.Ensuring documentation and communications meet FCA compliance requirements.Keeping client information and records accurate and up to date.Supporting the smooth progression of client cases.Developing knowledge of financial products, services and regulatory requirements.About You The ideal candidate will have previous experience within a financial advice, IFA or wealth management environment, ideally with at least two years' experience. We're looking for someone who is: Highly organised with strong time-management skills.Detail-oriented and able to maintain a high level of accuracy.Comfortable managing multiple priorities and deadlines.Proactive and able to work effectively as part of a small team.Professional and client-focused.Confident communicating with clients, providers and colleagues.Experienced with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.Familiar with financial services back-office systems.Ideally has an understanding of pensions, investments and protection.Keen to develop their technical knowledge and progress within financial planning.
