The role We are seeking an experienced and inspiring educator and practitioner to join the School of Law, Arts and Education on a permanent, part-time basis at 0.8 FTE. You will contribute to the delivery and continuing development of BA (Hons) Film and Television Practice, supporting a course that integrates critical enquiry, creative experimentation, collaborative production and professional practice.Working with colleagues across the School and College, you will teach, assess and provide academic and pastoral support to undergraduate students. Your principal contribution will span the history, theory and analysis of film and television; short-form narrative screenwriting; and the directing and producing of screen drama. The successful candidate will: Be able to connect theory and practice through lectures, screenings, seminars, practical workshops, tutorials and critical review. Help students develop ideas from research and script development through pre-production and production, while fostering inclusive, ethical and reflective approaches to filmmaking. Contribute to curriculum enhancement, assessment and moderation, student support, recruitment activity and the wider academic life of the Film and Television Practice team.
