This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with students, building confidence in the classroom and gaining valuable education experience, with full training provided. SALARY: £27,779 per annum FTE / Actual Annual Salary £17,846 + Benefits LOCATION: Hedge End, Southampton, Hampshire JOB TYPE: Part-Time, Contract (Starting September 2026 to August 2027) WORKING HOURS: 28.35 hours per week, 8:30am to 3:10pm Monday to Friday, term time only (38 weeks) JOB OVERVIEW As a Cover Supervisor / Classroom Assistant you will supervise classes during the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring students understand the work set and remain focused throughout the lesson. The Cover Supervisor / Classroom Assistant will support a positive learning environment across both key stages, using strong communication, classroom management and behaviour management skills. This role could suit someone looking to build a career in education, work with young people or take a practical step towards future teaching or school support work.
