About the Role As an Oak Framer at Rural Oak, you’ll be involved in crafting and assembling high-quality oak-framed buildings — from garages and garden rooms to bespoke one-off structures. You’ll work both in our workshop and on site, helping turn raw timber into beautifully finished frames.
Key Responsibilities Cutting and assembling oak frames using traditional joinery techniques Prefitting and prefabricating components in our workshop Reading and following drawings, measurements, and frame plans Producing posts, beams, trusses, wind braces, and bespoke details Erecting frames on site efficiently and safely Working with larch and other cladding materials Maintaining tools, machinery, and a tidy working environment Upholding Rural Oak’s high standards of craftsmanship and professionalism Ideal Candidate Experience in carpentry, joinery, or timber framing Strong attention to detail and pride in high-quality work Comfortable working both in the workshop and on site Good teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills A positive attitude and willingness to learn traditional oak framing methods Full UK driving licence (preferred) Why Work With Us?
